GCAS is a new initiative which supports recent, eligible graduates living in Scotland to find rewarding employment. We offer careers support and access to high-quality paid internships by collaborating with employers, universities, and other key agencies.
As part of the Scottish Government’s Young Person’s Guarantee, we aim to bridge the gap between employers and talented graduates; helping to ease the transition into valuable work experience. We break down barriers by supporting employers of all sectors and sizes, making it possible for them to create new impactful opportunities for graduates while boosting Scotland’s economy.
Employers will benefit from funding towards the role and access to new talent to bring fresh insight to the organisation; as well as tailored support from the GCAS team.
Graduates will gain valuable work experience through our internships and careers support. In addition, they will develop networks, professional skills, build confidence and gain support with the application process.
If you are a recent graduate, living in Scotland, and feel that your career is not graduate-level and where you had hoped it would be then we want to hear from you!
We know that some graduates can find accessing employment especially challenging for a variety of reasons including background, ethnicity, disability, and location – and that many graduates have been further impacted by the effects of the pandemic. If you feel this describes your situation then this programme is designed to help you in particular. Please complete our application form and we’ll be in touch.
